Qualifications:
Master's degree / Ph.D in Organic Chemistry with significant research capabilities
and demonstrated results in patent search.
Experience
5-10 years in Patent Search
Domain Knowledge
The following functional/domain skills are required for the candidate to
perform this role:
Prior art searches for
a particular research project and helping R&D in evaluating novelty and patentability
of that Project in relation to prior art.
qualitative and quantitative
patent data analysis
Knowledge on surfactants
or should be from the surfactant industry
Ability to understand
and interpret various terminologies associated with patents
Versatility in use of
databases for searches (more the better)
Mapping out competitors
activities via patents
Checking on the molecules
of interest going off patent and apprising the team on highly valued molecules in
business which would be going off patent
Ability to draft patents
Knowledge about protocols
of filing of patents at various windows eg- Indian patent office, USPTO, WIPO etc.
To ensure that infringement
analysis is conducted for the product before its marketing in the specific
country
