Energy Targets for 2020 - 2021

1. Reduce energy intensity by 50% at GSL vs FY 2011-12 and by 30% at GCE vs FY 2014-15 by improving efficiency.

2. Increase share of electricity from renewable energy sources by 10% at GSL with base FY 2015-16.

3. Reduce GHG constituting of scope 1 & 2 by 35% at GSL vs FY 2012-13 & by 25% at GCE vs FY 2014-15.

4. Introduce afforestation programmes as climate change mitigation measures and plant 25,000 trees at GSL.

Life Cycle Assessment Targets for 2020 - 2021

Achieve environmentally sound management framework for products and complete Life Cycle Assessment of 40 products.

We aim to adopt Life Cycle approach to evaluate potential environmental impacts.

Water Reduction Targets for 2020 - 2021

Reduce water consumption per metric tonne of production by 80% at GSL with base FY 2011-12 & by 50% at GCE with base FY 2014-15.

Waste Management Targets for 2020 - 2021

Reduce packaging waste generation by 10% at GSL using process of reduction, recycling and reuse of raw material packaging waste with base FY 2015-16.
